TWO GREAT CAMPS FOR IRONKIDS
For 6 - 12 years
- Young athletes will explore the world of triathlon through fun games and activities in our one day program of swimming, cycling and running!
- This program meets guidelines set by Triathlon Canada’s ‘Long Term Athlete Development’ plan
PD Day camp Friday May 21st 10.00-3.00pm
Sunday June 6th 8.30-1.30pm

Kids of Steel PD Day Camp, Friday May 21st
- Meet at Spray Lake Sports Centre, Cochrane.
- Athletes will focus on run bike and transition skills at Spray Lake Sports Centre.
- Athletes will require transportation to Big Hill Pool, after lunch for a coached swim and mini triathlon race before they conclude the day.
- Our KOS program will blend fun game and instructional support with age appropriate techniques for swim, bike and run getting our young athletes fired up for race day
Kids of Steel SUNDAY CAMP, Sunday June 6th
- Meet at Big Hill Leisure Pool in Cochrane for a 90 minute swim session at 8.00 am.
- Athletes will then use the Boys and Girls Club as a base to focus upon run bike and transition training.
- Outdoor training will take place on the Cochrane trails and conclude with a mini triathlon race.
- Athletes will be finished between 1.00 and 1.30.
- The coaches will be on hand throughout the camp to offer advice and support to athletes and parents as they prepare for this years great race!
ALL PARTICIPANTS SHOULD BRING…
- SWIM: swimsuit, goggles, 1 or 2 towels, and a swim cap
- BIKE: bicycle that will be checked to make sure it meets basic safety standards for road use, approved safety helmet, warm clothing (for outdoor rides), cycling shoes (if required)
- RUN: shorts, shirts - long & short sleeves, running shoes, extra pair of socks, hat, sun screen,
- REFRESHMENTS: Some light refreshments will be provided but participants are advised to bring additional drinks and snacks.
Please note, there are 20 spots available in each program and we expect them to fill quickly.
